A very distracting day

2011 is rapidly approaching its conclusion and everyone here at MLD would like to thank all of our visitors for stopping by this year. The distractions were many and today has been no different. Birds, babies and Doctor Who have all been a big part of the day that extended into some incredibly fun gifts this

The Quotable Doctor Who

Doctor Who has always had a special place in my world and I’ve had a great time talking about here on MLD. When I was reviewing and speculating on the full run of episodes from Season Five last year, I made it a point to add quotes from the show to the tags for the articles. They

REVIEW: Horrible Bosses

Horrible Bosses is the new film from Seth Gordon who previously directed the hysterical documentary The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters and the horrendous Vince Vaughn/Reese Witherspoon disaster Four Christmases. The film is carried by a cast of actors mainly known for their television work including Jason Bateman, Charlie Day, Jason Sudeikis and

Larfleeze’s Orange Lantern Cookies

Of course I couldn’t resist making Orange Lantern Christmas Cookies when Kevin mentioned them in his recent post. Let this be my warning to you. Resist the temptation. We turned the recipe into an MLD group project and I think the consensus was they were not a recipe to be made again. But hey, we are

No Comics Wednesday (for me)

I can’t remember the last time this happened, but I have nothing on my pull list for this week. Plenty of books from all publishers will be on the shelves, but there’s honestly nothing that I normally read. Knowing that a week with no books shipping is likely scheduled for the Wednesday between Christmas and

Don’t let Better Off Ted get…dead?

This is my plea for the show Better Off Ted. It is amazing. If you have not seen it yet…watch it on Hulu now. If you liked Arrested Development, it is likely you will enjoy Ted. And Portia di Rossi plays her character perfectly. I identify quite a bit with Veronica’s character though….so that doesn’t hurt. I wish I could get away with talking like she does…although…some people already think I do 🙂

Just to give you a taste of what I LOVE about this show…here are a few quotes. Though….maybe they aren’t as funny to you on their own….they still crack me up.

The End of Time Itself!

I just finished watching the second chapter of this year’s Doctor Who Christmas Special. Splitting the special to two nights was something new for the show and truly deserving given the epic nature of the story. I waited to talk about it until after I’d seen the whole thing and could consider the story in

A very distracting time of year

I haven’t been the most frequent poster on MLD lately, but I do want to take some time to wish everyone a Merry Happy from myself and the rest of the MLD writing team  🙂  Enjoy some of my recent Lensbaby Fisheye shenanigans, on what I hope is at least a day you don’t have
