Things appear to be back on track with X-Men: Second Coming Chapter ø7 after the frustrations of last issue. After some time away, I can say that Chapter ø6 was decent despite its imperfections but this week’s installment is solid. Spoilers next.

REVIEW: X-Men Second Coming ø6

I suppose there had to be a let down somewhere along this wild ride and X-Men: Second Coming Chapter ø6, you’re it. Spoilers to follow along with a lot a disappointment.

I looked at a preview for this book last week, so I knew I was going to have some problems with it. The problems come from some art choices that were out of place, and must have resulted from a miscommunication among the writer (Matt Fraction), artists (Terry and Rachel Dodson) and editor (Nick Lowe). This is dangerous territory for any character, but given the warlike nature of his species, it could be enough to send him spiraling out of control. The fact that the decision came at the urging of his most trusted friend, Doug Ramsey, might not help their relationship going forward.

Installment three of the epic X-Men: Second Coming crossover was right on time yesterday.  This was a book that felt like nothing happened when I finished reading it, but as I started writing this I realized that a whole lot happened. I must have been in shock, spoilers to follow.
