My Latest Pull List – November 6th, 2013

Posted by under *like, Comics |

Six new books on my list this week including new Doctor Who, Forever Evil, and Longshot?!.

  • AMAZING X-MEN #1 – I really want to be excited for the launch of this series, but I can’t say that I am. Bringing back a character is always a loaded prospect and the “death” being undone here was a big one. Jason Aaron’s Wolverine and the X-Men has done less and less for me each month since it started, but his Battle of the Atom issues are notable exceptions. At least this should look great with Ed McGuinness on board.
  • CAPTAIN MARVEL #17 – I still need to catch up on The Enemy Within before reading this.
  • DOCTOR WHO: PRISONERS OF TIME #10 – We should finally see The Doctor face the enemy of the series here. Of course I’ve thought that before.
  • FOREVER EVIL #3 – With Marvel’s Infinity and Battle of the Atom flying by, it’s hard to believe that DC’s Forever Evil  is only at issue #3. It’s not a bad thing by any means, just a very different publishing schedule for three event/crossover series that started at roughly the same time.
  • LONGSHOT SAVES THE MARVEL UNIVERSE #1 – Marvel has shipped a few of these “(Insert Character) Saves/Kills the Marvel Universe” series over the past year and I haven’t paid much attention to any of them. Adding Longshot to the list of characters starring in these books (alongside the Punisher, Deadpool, and Wolverine) certainly captured my attention.  I’m not totally sure about this one, but it will get a serious look at the store.
  • X-MEN: LEGACY #19 – Need to catch up on this one as well.

Weekly comic books are a big part of my life and I regularly post what I’ll be picking up each Wednesday along with cover artwork and previews courtesy of Comixology’s Pull List app

Check back every week to see what’s on My Latest Pull List and share your thoughts what you’re reading this week.
