Network TV’s New Offerings for Fall 2011

Twenty-eight new shows have joined the Fall network TV line up, and we’ve had something to say about all of them. Some are already off the air, but some have a chance to make it. Share each night of the week with MLD.


  • Fall 2011 Network TV – Friday’s New Hits and Misses

    Each day this week we’ve been looking at the new shows that joined the network TV lineup this Fall. In our final installment, we’ll be focusing on both Friday, notorious as the night genre shows go to die, and Sunday, which in recent years has been claimed by cable networks as their spotlight night. Today we’ll spend some time talking about Showtime’s Homeland, ABC’s Pan Am and Once Upon a Time, as well as NBC’s Grimm.


  • Fall 2011 Network TV – Thursday’s New Hits and Misses

    Each day this week we’ve been looking at the new shows that joined the network TV lineup this Fall. Thursday night already plays host to a number of successful shows making for some tough competition and two of the six new shows airing that night have already been cancelled. Today we’ll spend some time talking about Charlie’s Angels, How to Be a Gentleman, Person of Interest, Prime Suspect, The Secret Circle, and Whitney.


  • Fall 2011 Network TV – Wednesday’s New Hits and Misses

    Each day this week we’re taking a look at the new shows that joined the network TV lineup this Fall. Wednesday nights introduced more new shows than any other night of the week and will host the lone show that has yet to air, Jaime Presley’s I Hate My Teenage Daughter coming November 30th. Today we’ll look at American Horror Story, Free Agents, H8R, Revenge, Suburgatory, and Up All Night.


  • Fall 2011 Network TV – Tuesday’s New Hits and Misses

    Each day this week we’re taking a look at the new shows that joined the network TV lineup this Fall. Tuesday nights introduced two shows driven by fan favorite female leads in Zooey Deschanel’s New Girl on Fox and Sarah Michelle Gellar’s Ringer on CW. As with all of the shows featured in our Fall Preview (see below), we’ll have our reactions to both of these new entries.


  • Fall 2011 Network TV – Monday’s New Hits and Misses

    It took nearly two full months for all of this Fall’s new shows to debut, but as of Halloween everything is now on the air. Since our Fall Preview (see below) ran as the first shows premiered, some have succeeded, some have failed and we have our reactions to all of them. Each day this week we’re taking a look at the new shows that joined the network TV lineup this Fall. Monday we’ll be looking at 2 Broke Girls, Hart of Dixie, Terra Nova and The Playboy Club.
