REVIEW: Doctor Who – A Good Man Goes to War

For the record, I hate this “mid-season finale / Summer break” business we’re getting with this season of Doctor Who. The only upside is that we’ll technically get two season premieres and two season finales. If the close of the season is anywhere near as exciting as A Good Man Goes to War, it will all be worth the wait.

Spoilers, deaths, births and revelations ahead.

REVIEW: Doctor Who – The Almost People

The follow up to The Rebel Flesh was very welcome after the Memorial Weekend break, but unfortunately this episode is all about the shocking final minutes. Wow… I had high expectations for this episode knowing it was written by Neil Gaiman, and I can honestly say it exceeded all of them. This is a very exciting season and I’m impatient to get back to the main plot, but this episode went a long way to overcome that. In fact, it may be one of the greatest single episodes in ther series’ history.

Spoilers then, now and later.

REVIEW: Doctor Who – The Curse of the Black Spot

Posted by under *like, Television | Leave a Comment |

This week’s installment was fun self-contained pirate adventure. These aren’t usually my favorite types of episodes but The Curse of the Black Spot was fairly satisfying (although Enlightenment from the classic series will always be the high water mark for Doctor Who pirate stories). Amidst all the swashbuckling, we get some progression of the overarching plotlines of the current series.

Spoilers ho!
