My Latest Pull List – March 26th, 2014

Posted by under *like, Comics |

Lots of books shipping this week, eleven found their way onto my list for Wednesday.

  • ALL-NEW GHOST RIDER #1 – Definitely worth a look.
  • ALL-NEW X-FACTOR #5 – All-New Marvel Now double-shipping has me way behind on this one.
  • AMAZING X-MEN #5 – This series has been decent enough. The inclusion of Firestar is a big plus, but I’m really just waiting for Kyle and Yost to take over.
  • AVENGERS #27 – I think I missed an issue here. It’s around here somewhere.
  • GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY #13 – Despite a few questions about the premise of this story, I am truly enjoying The Trial of Jean Grey. This will be the first book I read this week.
  • NEW AVENGERS #16 – I know I’ve missed an issue of this one, but it’s waiting on the desk right in front of me.
  • ORIGIN II #4 – Immediately fell behind on this as I seem to with most miniseries. I’ll likely wait to read it from start to finish once it’s all published.
  • SANDMAN OVERTURE #2 – Strongly considering waiting for the trade on this given the extended shipping schedule, but it will be hard to leave the store without a copy of issue #2.
  • SERENITY LEAVES ON THE WIND #3 – I did not stick with continuing adventures of Buffy or Angel, but this is something I could see myself reading for the long haul.
  • SILVER SURFER #1 – This could be a strong contender for “Pull of the Week.” Look out, Hawkeye.
  • UNCANNY AVENGERS #18 – Much like the recent All-New Marvel Now issue of Brian Wood’s X-Men, I’m not sure why this issue that’s clearly in the midst of an ongoing story arc gets a giant “#1” on the cover. It’s by no means a bad story and I’m looking forward to reading it, but it’s hard to envision it as a start to anything.

Weekly comic books are a big part of my life and I regularly post what I’ll be picking up each Wednesday along with cover artwork and previews courtesy of Comixology’s Pull List app.

Check back every week to see what’s on My Latest Pull List and share your thoughts what you’re reading this week.
