My Latest Pull List – April 16th, 2014

Posted by under *like, Comics |

Nine new books on my list this week. The blood moon has left me with little energy to write about them.

  • AMAZING X-MEN #6 – I’m enjoying this title more than Aaron’s Wolverine and the X-Men, and while an appearance by Mystique should be fun, the upcoming issue with Spider-Man and the return of Kyle and Yost are what I’m looking forward to most.
  • BATMAN #30 – Very happy to see this on the list this week. Both Zero Year and Forever Evil feel like permanent fixtures at this point, and that’s not entirely bad.
  • BATMAN ETERNAL #2 – I’m really struggling with my decision to continue with this title. A year-long weekly book is a big commitment. I’ve enjoyed what I’ve read so far and suprisingly a big part of the draw here for me is Bluebird.
  • HULK #1 – I can’t pass up a Hulk #1.
  • JUSTICE LEAGUE #29 – I think I’m done with this title after Forever Evil wraps up. The Cyborg/Metal Men story is fun enough to stick around for the conclusion, but I’m not generally looking forward to the book and dropping it would help the decision to continue with Batman Eternal.
  • UNCANNY X-MEN #20 – I like what Bendis has been doing with the X-titles and Bachalo’s art makes makes this the first book I will read this Wednesday.
  • WOLVERINE AND THE X-MEN #3 – Probably only giving this one more issue. I’m already behind with the double shipping and don’t know that I’ll miss it.
  • X-FORCE #3 – Pretty solid start to this one. I like the interaction between Cable and Psylocke, but I hate that Hope is on the shelf.
  • X-MEN #13 – I’m actually pretty far behind on this series. Don’t know that I’ve read it since the All-New Marvel Now branding happened.

Weekly comic books are a big part of my life and I regularly post what I’ll be picking up each Wednesday along with cover artwork and previews courtesy of Comixology’s Pull List app.

Check back every week to see what’s on My Latest Pull List and share your thoughts what you’re reading this week.
