Don’t let Better Off Ted get…dead?

This is my plea for the show Better Off Ted. It is amazing. If you have not seen it yet…watch it on Hulu now.  If you liked Arrested Development, it is likely you will enjoy Ted.  And Portia di Rossi plays her character perfectly.  Admittedly, I identify quite a bit with her character Veronica….so that doesn’t hurt (And I quote…”I don’t like the way Phil and Lem are, so I’m changing them”).  I wish I could get away with talking like she does…although…some people already think I do  🙂

Just to give you a taste of what I LOVE about this show…here are a few quotes.  Though….they may not be as funny to you on their own….they still crack me up.

On bad gifts: “Pot pie Christmas….it didn’t help that they were made with reindeer”

On hearing complaints: “You’re always coming to me with a problem. Just once I wish you would greet me with a sparkler and cotton candy and tell me I have the number one album in America”

On employee morale: “If there is a morale problem, the company recommends you take the hardest working employee and fire them”

On a memorial service: “The company didn’t think sad was the way to go”

On being left out: “The smoking area is kind of small”…”Isn’t it all of the outdoors?”

On knowing Right from Wrong: “No one knows how many licks it takes to get to my moral center”

On an accomplishment: “Together we’re like Ghandi.  I’m skinny and you’re tan.”

On dealing with an uncomfortable situation: “If only there was a nice way to say, ‘You’re killing me you energy sucking time gobbler.'”

On not caring about the conversation you’re a part of: “I would like to unsubscribe from whatever it is you’re doing right now”

On dealing with yammering scientists: “Bunsen, Beaker, Focus.”

Lastly, it doesn’t hurt that characters use douche as an insult regularly.  I’m super mature…if you didn’t know.
