Philadelphia Comic-Con starts today

Posted by under *mixed, Comics |

Things have been very focused on comic books here this week and it’s about to get worse. The annual Philadelphia Comic-Con sponsored by Wizard Entertainment comes to town today and we’ll be all over it.

I haven’t attended this show since 2007 when it was simply called Wizard World Philadelphia, and Angie and I struggled to enjoy ourselves. It was a sad commentary on the way this show had changed from a must-attend event to a comic book flea market with a few creators thrown in. This year should be a different story as the show promoters have put together a much stronger show.

The event kicks off today at noon and runs through Sunday at the Pennsylvania Convention Center (details below). Tickets are $30/day, $50 for the whole weekend. In anticipation of the show, we’ve also included an image gallery of past events the MLD team has attended.
