June has been far and away our most successful month here at MLD in terms of traffic. We hit a nice little milestone tonight, so thank you to everyone who has visited our site and read our posts.
Also, thank you to anyone who has reposted a link to the site or gotten involved in the discussions about the articles.

This month has been immeasurably encouraging for all of us. We’ll have to celebrate this weekend… Maybe at Five Guys.



Last weekend, the Phillies”traveled” to Philadelphia for their weekend series “at” Toronto. Prior to the games, we knew the Phillies would bat in the top of the order and the game would follow American League rules using the designated hitter, even though they were playing in their home park. To further sell the idea that these were “away” games, the Phillies even wore their road uniforms, but the teams did not go so far as to switch dugouts nor did the concessions sell typical Canadian baseball fare. Although, that’s probably the same as American baseball fare at this point.



For whatever reason this summer there are only two movies due out that really have me excited: Christopher Nolan’s Inception and Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. With Edgar (Shaun of the Dead) Wright’s film version of Scott Pilgrim just a little over a month away from hitting theaters, it occurred to me that many of the regular visitors of this site may not be particularly familiar with the character. I worry that people will think it is just another Michael Cera playing Michael Cera movie. To prepare you for the film and really just as an excuse to post the awesome trailer below, I’ve put together this little primer on Bryan Lee O’Malley’s deliriously fun series.



So dig it, MLD: you know I like theater. It’s in my “likes” category, but due to my performance schedule with ComedySportz Philly, I don’t get out to see as much live theater as I oughta. After my less-than-stellar culinary experience Friday night, my wife reminded me that we were seeing the Late Renoir exhibit at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Good deal, but what’s more, we’d also bought tickets to Irish playwright John Millington Synge’s most famous play “The Playboy of the Western World“, playing up in Center Valley, PA, at DeSales University as part of this year’s Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival.
