Last week’s Halloween edition of Raw had a lot going on. The live show was held in Atlanta, Georgia, the site of WrestleMania earlier this year and fans were treated to a main event rematch between John Cena and The Miz. The show also featured special guests The Muppets who got involved backstage and in the ring!

We’re somewhat divided with regard to our feelings on last week’s guest stars appearing on the show, but we agree that we’d both like to see a quality show that gets by on its own merits without The Muppets or the next week’s special attraction, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

Spinning out of the annual Vengeance pay-per-view, the action continued on WWE’s Monday Night Raw in Austin, Texas. The show seemed to suffer from some poor choices with its use of air time, but overall it was an entertaining show. A lot of ground work was laid for the next big event, November 20th’s Survivor Series, and the return of the Rock. Tonight’s Halloween edition of the show should continue to move things in that direction, but the real treat will be special guest stars, The Muppets. When the Rock and Muppets are mentioned together I can’t help but think of Derek Jeter.

On Friday, July 1, I was lucky enough to attend the annual Wildwood Sports Cards, Comics, Beanies and Toy Convention at the Convention Center in Wildwood, NJ for the third straight year with KevinMLD. The free event is held early in the Summer Vacation season every year. With vendors selling everything from sports memorabilia to classic 1990’s comic books to random dvds to kids toys (new, used, and VERY used), there’s sure to be something for everyone.

I find it to be a major failing on the part of this website that we have written very little about The Muppets since we’ve launched. Now, granted there’s been very little to actually report on beyond some popular YouTube videos and rumors of a Jason Segel-written movie off in the distance. That movie has been talked about for so long with no news of it receiving an official green light that I had come to assume it would never happen.

That was until today when it was reported on the Muppets official Facebook page (what? You don’t follow the Muppets on Facebook?) that the movie is already filming and that Entertainment Weekly was publishing an exclusive sneak peak.
