Thank You from All of Us @ MLD

June has been far and away our most successful month here at MLD in terms of traffic. We hit a nice little milestone tonight, so thank you to everyone who has visited our site and read our posts.

Also, thank you to anyone who has reposted a link to the site or gotten involved in the discussions about the articles.

Finally, thank you to everyone who has contributed content to the site to date.

This month has been immeasurably encouraging for all of us. We’ll have to celebrate this weekend… Maybe at Five Guys.

Late Renoir / Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival Double Shot

So dig it, MLD: you know I like theater. It’s in my “likes” category, but due to my performance schedule with ComedySportz Philly, I don’t get out to see as much live theater as I oughta. After my less-than-stellar culinary experience Friday night, my wife reminded me that we were seeing the Late Renoir exhibit at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Good deal, but what’s more, we’d also bought tickets to Irish playwright John Millington Synge’s most famous play “The Playboy of the Western World“, playing up in Center Valley, PA, at DeSales University as part of this year’s Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival. I don’t know what you did on Father’s Day, but I had breakfast with my dad, and dinner with my in-laws. After dinner was over, though, I suggested we go to the movies, and I asked if my in-laws would want to come along. My mother-in-law declined, but my father-in-law was enthusiastic, especially when I mentioned that we might catch The A-Team. We should have probably filled out a psych profile before we went, though.

The Onion. Dot com?

Pete and I are enjoying a day in New York City today. It has been the perfect day for it. Hot, but not too hot. Now comes the part that I dread though. Waiting in line for stuff. At least there are things in the immediate surroundings to keep me amused. For example, what’s up with the onion just hanging out behind the door in a clothing store? Weird, right?

Philadelphia Comic Con: Steampunk

I’m not quite sure how to explain it, but there is something interesting about the steampunk presence at the Philadelphia Comic Con. I know this is not a new phenomenon or fascination. It is a part of sci-fi that isn’t going anywhere. I guess I was just surprised that there were vendors that fell into this category.
