And so it comes down a deciding game seven in the NBA Finals this year between the league’s two most successful franchises. The Lakers and Celtics have won 32 of the league’s 63 NBA Championships between them, and that’s enough for me to not care at all about this year’s finals. Any and all rooting interest I had was lost back in November when it was clear the Sixers weren’t going anywhere.

The last game of the NBA post-season airs tonight on ABC at 9PM EST. Congratulations to whichever team wins. You did it again!

So maybe this has been the worst World Cup ever. How many ties can there be before people just stop caring?  Well, that depends. I do not know if anyone cares at this point. I guess people will pay attention to the US game on Friday against Slovenia, but nobody will actually watch it. Friday at 10am is not the best time for a soccer game.

DC Comics‘ Brightest Day #4 is in stores this week. That makes this as good a time as any to share some thoughts on issue #3.

PTB: The cover really caught my attention on this one. At first, I thought they were the resurrected characters, but upon thinking about it that’s clearly not the case. I know it’s just the cover, but with Atom and Mera included it just got my wheels spinning about who the twelve resurrected characters are now that I’ve got a handle on some of them.

KevinMLD: The characters on the cover are the stars of Brightest Day to date. I assume the other resurrected characters will play a role in the title at some point, but they’re clearly not going to be main characters the way Mera and the Atom have been so far.

Kaiju Big Battel ranks as one of the most absurd events I’ve ever attended, and I love it. I don’t know a lot about it, but it makes sense that I would enjoy it as it combines American professional wrestling with Japanese monster movies.
