Posted by under *mixed, Television | Leave a Comment |

Each day this week we’re taking a look at all of the new shows that joined the network TV lineup this Fall. Wednesday nights introduced more new shows than any other night of the week and will host the lone show that has yet to air, Jaime Presley’s I Hate My Teenage Daughter coming November 30th. We’re not waiting for that to run down what’s on Wednesdays! We’re judging a many of these shows based only on the pilot episode. While that may be unfair it should be a show’s best effort to show us what it has to offer.

Each day this week we’re taking a look at all of the new shows that joined the network TV lineup this Fall. Tuesday nights introduced two shows driven by fan favorite female leads in Zooey Deschanel’s New Girl on Fox and Sarah Michelle Gellar’s Ringer on CW. As with all of the shows featured in our Fall Preview, we’ll have our reactions to both of these new entries. We’re judging a great deal based only on the pilot episode, and while that may be unfair it should be a show’s best effort to show us what it has to offer.

The show also featured special guests The Muppets who got involved backstage and in the ring!

We’re somewhat divided with regard to our feelings on last week’s guest stars appearing on the show, but we agree that we’d both like to see a quality show that gets by on its own merits without The Muppets or the next week’s special attraction, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

It took nearly two full months for all of this Fall’s new shows to debut, but with a Halloween weekend of Allen Gregory, Once Upon a Time and the appropriately timed Grimm, everything is now on the air. Since our Fall Preview that ran as the first shows premiered, some have succeeded, some have failed and we have our reactions to all of them. We’re judging many of these shows based only on the pilot episode, and while that may be unfair it should be a show’s best effort to show us what it has to offer.

Spinning out of the annual Vengeance pay-per-view, the action continued on WWE’s Monday Night Raw in Austin, Texas. The show seemed to suffer from some poor choices with its use of air time, but overall it was an entertaining show. A lot of ground work was laid for the next big event, November 20th’s Survivor Series, and the return of the Rock. Tonight’s Halloween edition of the show should continue to move things in that direction, but the real treat will be special guest stars, The Muppets. When the Rock and Muppets are mentioned together I can’t help but think of Derek Jeter.
