5 guys couldn’t drag me back

Why did I even waste my time eating here? Oh right… I was hungry. Maybe I’m spoiled growing up with Nifty Fifty’s, but 5 Guys Burgers and Fries does nothing for me. The burgers are average at best, the fries were okay and they get points for having malt vinegar for their fries, but the small menu, the lousy service (they got my order wrong… on a cheeseburger with the works) and the color scheme rip off of Nifty Fifty’s make it a very lackluster experience in my stomach’s eye.

I think this is my first dislike, and boy did I dislike. I may have to eat at Nifty Fifty’s to repair the damage.

Spoilers ahead.

Soldiers of Fortune

Thank you, LA Times. I pity my ability to find images for fools.

I don’t know what you did on Father’s Day, but I had breakfast with my dad, and dinner with my in-laws. After dinner was over, though, I suggested we go to the movies, and I asked if my in-laws would want to come along. My mother-in-law declined, but my father-in-law was enthusiastic, especially when I mentioned that we might catch The A-Team. We should have probably filled out a psych profile before we went, though.

DC Comics launches iPad/iPhone app

Posted by under *mixed, Comics, Technology | Join The Discussion |

DC Comics launched a new app for Apple’s mobile platforms overnight. This came as quite a surprise because DC has been the only major publisher absent from the digital world to date. The app is built on the same Comixology platform that’s used by the Marvel and Boom apps. This format, at least on the iPhone, basically divides each comic page up into panels and guides the reader through each one for a clean and easy reading experience.
