Two years ago my friend Kim and I took our kids to Chapala, Mexico for a month long trip. She wanted a real Mexican experience and I wanted to do lots of shopping and sitting on the beach. We both got a little bit of what we wanted and had a mostly fabulous time. But, we also had our four kids: Tyler (4), DJ (3.5), Katelyn (1), and Leena (9 months), so there were inevitable moments of pain and suffering as well. It’s pretty clear that the NHL is normally off my radar, but with the Flyers unexpected success this year I’ve been paying some attention. With the Stanley Cup Finals moving to Philadelphia tonight, I thought that home ice really just gave the team crowd support and the chance to sleep in your own bed. The series finale of ABC’s Lost aired Sunday night and this is one of the rare places where our interests here at MLD all converge. Seems poetic given the nature of the conclusion.
